We are the New Americans Academic Aid, a non-profit organization founded by bilingual high school and college students whose mission is to help new immigrant students adapt and flourish both academically and socially in the American education system.

Many families have come to America not knowing what to expect, and their children even less. And, unfortunately, many of these children are put into classes and are expected to perform at the same level as their American peers, despite not knowing a single word of English, not to mention the material or the culture. This is where the New Americans Academic Aid steps in. We have committed ourselves to providing valuable resources and experiences to these New American families.

“And generation after generation of immigrants have come to these shores because they believe that in America all things are possible”

                                                                    -President Barack Obama

Field Trip to the U.S. Immigration Court:

We went over to the National Immigration Agency in Portland after the monthly naturalization ceremony to present ourselves to newly-pledged U.S. Citizens and their children and spread resources and awareness of the New Americans Academic Aid.

Presentation at "Club rush":

Steve Dobrioglo (pictured) and other NAAA members at Lake Oswego High School presented the NAAA board at the two-day club rush. Forty-two students signed up and showed interest in joining our cause.
