New Americans Academic Aid
Our beginning: Summer 2012
Arseniy Kondratyuk from Czech Republic, Eytan Brodsky from Israel, and Daniar Imanbayev from Kazakhstan (in order of picture) compiling documents for their official administration with the guidance of Daniar's older brother Galym's bylaw advice

Our Annual Conferences:
2012-2015
Two to three speakers share their life experience of surpassing and exceeding the challenges of being a first and second generation immigrant through the American education system in an annual multi-regional event

Our Story:

NAAA Outreach

Our Meetings:

We began visiting the steps of the Oregon Immigration Court, reaching out to newly naturalized citizens about ways our organization can help
Our 2015 speakers Jessica Lee and Bill Feng, describing their experience adapting to university from an immigrant perspective
Our first speaker Galym Imanbayev kicked off the first of many annual conferences, describing his struggles and journey as an immigrant student in the US elementary school system
Our team began working with local Oak Creek Elementary, becoming a go-to liaison between their new American students and our multilingual student peers ready to help.
In the future, we would be present for events such as Open-Houses and registration days
Our meetings is where the magic happens. From building networks to finding new communities to help to drafting and editing bylaws, our team would work together to make sure that every struggling immigrant student in their schools is being helped by one of our own. With time, these students become helpers themselves and pass down their knowledge.
